Enhancing the Environment of Finchley Road
English Heritage has advised that the architecture of Finchley Road is likely to merit the street’s designation as a Conservation Area.
Prior to the 1960s road widening, when gardens were expropriated, Finchley Road had been an elegant tree-lined boulevard.
Redington Frognal Association and Neighbourhood Forum aspire to re-green the street through tree planting and the development of small pocket parks.
